We love seeing the non-traditional wedding alternatives our couples choose for their big day. As two worlds become one our couples are opting out of standard wedding traditions and doing what feels right for them. When it comes to your wedding there is no right or wrong way to celebrate your union, you got this!

PRIVATE CAKE CUTTING
Weddings are a large production and we are seeing more couples opt for private moments. One tradition couples are hanging onto is cutting the cake, however, instead of being the center of attention they will go to a private space with just the photographer to have this moment to themselves.

GETTING READY TOGETHER
Getting ready together is possibly one of our favorite trends. While this is more common for Micro weddings and Elopement’s it is still a great option for larger weddings especially if one person does not have as many close connections as the other in attendance. Getting ready with their partner may bring more joy than a room full of distant relatives. Either way it is definitely something to consider!

Once you say I DO be sure to take a few minutes for yourselves. This can happen directly after the ceremony or right before the reception. It’s easy to get caught up in all the action and the desire to spend every moment with your loved ones but this can be a wonderful time to create a core memory and take in the moment that you did it, you are MARRIED!

Walking down the aisle together is another non-traditional alternative we are totally feeling! Not only does it allow our couples a private first look before all eyes are on them but the opportunity to support one another down the aisle.
